Trucks are an essential part of skateboarding because they are used to attach the wheels to the deck. Every skateboard needs two trucks that are attached via special hardware to the underside of the deck. Skateboard trucks allow the skater to turn the board left or right depending on their weight setting and allow for grinds on rails, walls and ramp copings.
