Hurley

Hurley was founded in 1979 by 24-year-old Bob Hurley. Hurley worked for five years as a surfboard shaper for various companies such as: Lightning Bolt, Wind-an-Sea and Wave Tools. While becoming known as one of Southern California's leading shapers, Hurley licensed US rights to emerging Australian surf brand Billabong and founded Billabong USA in 1983. By 1998, US licensing rights for Billabong were expiring. and in 1999 Hurley International was born. Today Hurley produces clothing for all table sports and beyond. Hurley was founded on the belief that there is something greater that connects us all, bonds that unite like music, art and culture. Rooted in beach culture Hurley celebrates self-expression from the skate park to the canvas.
