For ION the abrasion protection was not enough to satisfy the approach towards a more functional and intelligent protective equipment. That's why they made K-Sleeve even better. The Sleeve construction offers an extremely close fit to the body to keep the product in place while pedaling. For greater protection from small impacts (EN 1621, Level 1) ION uses a 3D shaped protective padding. The pre-shaped shape and the strategic cuts of the padding allow it to adapt to the natural posture of the knee and to follow its movements. In the event of an accident, the non-stitched upper layer of the Sleeve ensures a slight sliding capacity that prevents the padding from shifting when it comes into contact with the ground.
