Starting from the inside, in the center we have the core of the board which is usually made of wood, where, based on the type of wood, we will have different elastic and robustness characteristics. The core is then covered with mono, bi, or triaxial fiberglass and sometimes carbon is also used to further stiffen the structure and increase its response when stressed, the positioning of the fiberglass and carbon varies the twist and longitudinal bending. In the lower part we then have the base which can be extruded or sintered where the latter can be developed with further technologies in order to absorb substances present in the wax which increase its smoothness on the snow; the extruded base will be less smooth but more resistant requiring less maintenance and care while the sintered one will be smoother but at the same time more delicate and to which we will have to dedicate more maintenance.
