The Simmer SX10 Slim windsurf boom is the latest development in the SX boom collection featuring a super slim 24.5mm tube with a non-conical tube and a round handle. It is designed to give your rig the most direct, responsive and light feel possible. The boom is the link between the rider and the rig and defines its performance very much. The SX10 is made of the highest quality pre-preg carbon available both in the body and in the extension of the muffler. Most modern carbon booms are pre-preg, but what is crucial to performance is the quality of the carbon and the way the layup is designed. For an optimal strength / weight ratio we use internal layers of unidirectional carbon along the boom arm to create an extremely rigid core. On the outside of the carbon tubes we use a carbon fiber weave to make the boom extremely resistant. This makes the SX10 boom incredibly stiff, light and strong. This sandwich technique is very similar to the layup technique seen in our board construction. For maximum driving comfort, the SX10 Slim features a super slim 24.5mm handle with non-conical tube. The Simmer boom head is designed for maximum grip on the mast. With a high friction contact surface against the shaft, a sturdy rope hook and an arm lever that allows you to effortlessly apply high tension when fixing the arm in its correct position.
