The K2 Afterblack deck was designed for serious durability with a classic freestyle flex, combined with a modern snowboarding feel. Team riders Mark Wilson and Justin Phipps made an important contribution to the shape of the nose and tail, the radius of the side cut, the transition zone between camber and rocker. Designed for intermediate to expert snowboarders, the Afterblack is a true twin board with a combination of camber profile (with camber between the bindings and rocker on the nose and tail), which gives it a playful feel while maintaining stability at high speeds when aiming for a jump. Its tri-blend BAP core combines bamboo, aspen and paulownia to deliver responsiveness and pop, while absorbing vibrations on the hardest landings. Wrapping the core from nose to tail are fiberglass and Carbon Darkweb™ which give the Afterblack stability and edge control for jumping on kickers and tackling big descents.
