Technical information

The Duotone IDOL LTD is the most developed and extreme Freestyle sail of the entire Duotone range. All dimensions are extraordinarily light because instead of the usual XPLY material the innovative high-tech laminate ODL and the 100 micron ULTRA FILM have been used . These materials are 50% lighter than previous sailcloths, making IDOL LTD about as heavy as a smaller 1.5 m² SUPER HERO (e.g. 4.8 and 3.4). The IDOL LTD can do everything a freestyler needs. In addition to its absolutely neutral handling, it gives no unwanted feedback and is incredibly light in your hands, leaving you free to concentrate fully on your movements and maneuvers. You would think about tacking without the sail, since the IDOL LTD rotates incredibly fast through all tricks and is completely balanced in the wind during ducking movements. The extremely high clew and short boom length make lowering maneuvers so fast that almost no speed is lost. IDOL LTD will not only increase your success rate in difficult maneuvers, but will also make taking on new challenges much more fun. New, practically unbreakable slats are used, capable of easily withstanding even the most difficult cleaning operations. Simply fantastic: When used for foiling, the IDOL LTD is equipped with a special clew eyelet to be able to position the sail even more vertically! Important: While this is something other manufacturers are reluctant to mention, the lowest weight can only be achieved by reducing the thickness of the materials. Since the thickness of the ODL yacht laminate has been kept to a minimum, the material's UV stability is limited. Consequently this glider is not subject to the DUOTONE 2+3 YEAR WARRANTY.
