Men's snowboard jackets have many variations and materials/membranes that are used as needed. A snowboard or ski jacket that can also be used in your free time and a specific jacket for outings on the snow can have different characteristics; one of the details to understand the technicality of the jacket is to see how it is structured: if it has a sleeve with a buttonhole to accommodate the thumb of the glove so as not to lift it during wider movements, if the gaiter that closes the jacket internally is removable and if it has hooks to be able to attach it to the trousers so that the jacket and the latter behave as much as possible as if they were a single piece and so on. Other factors to observe are the water columns which represent the degree of impermeability of the jacket, i.e. the higher this number is, the greater the protection from water and snow that the jacket will give us, the degree of breathability which is instead how much the membrane is able to let out the water vapor that our body develops during moderate activity. We also have membranes/materials/fabrics common to the various brands such as Polartec, Primaloft and Gore-Tex which, being very technical, help to increase the breathability, warmth and waterproofing of the garment and finally we have proprietary membranes of some brands which are equally technical but which are used and produced exclusively by them. Today we have come to use "dynamic" membranes that are able to modify their structure to thermoregulate and control the breathability of the garment being worn. Another factor to consider are the production standards of the fabrics since today it has become very important to try to safeguard the planet's resources and try to pollute it as little as possible during the production processes, without neglecting the attention that is dedicated by some brands to improve and keep the conditions of the people who work in the factory healthy and safe and are subject every day to certain factors which, if not controlled, could harm their health and safety.
