Developed as a universal board, the Yes Basic has been perfected over the years to the point that both pros and beginners alike love to use it regularly. The UnderBite profile extracts more arch, more grip and a better carving experience. The UnderBite edges redistribute a rider's weight in such a way as to improve ease of cornering and edge hold. The creation of inward depressions in the binding area reduces and interrupts the surface of the edge in contact with the snow as the board turns. This increases edge pressure by distributing your weight / energy to the areas you need it to - from the binding outward and through the center of the board where the carving arc takes place. This 3 key zone sidecut segmentation focuses your body weight on the areas that initiate, hold and release curves. The Basic has a tip-to-tail wood core made from Poplar. It achieves a predictable balance of durability, constant flexibility and lightness. Extruded Sole, softer than other insoles, which isn't necessarily bad. At the speeds many of us drive, this material is actually faster (advances at speeds faster) than sintered when properly waxed. The extruded base holds the wax better because it is more porous and is easy to repair with a P-Tex stick in case of scratches.
