The Yes Basic women's snowboard board takes the easy-to-use performance of the Basic but in a bespoke design that caters to a woman's size and weight. The tighter, softer and more forgiving mixed sidecut made this board a T.W.S. Goodwood Award Winner. The UnderBite edges redistribute a rider's weight in such a way as to improve ease of cornering and edge hold. The creation of inward depressions in the binding area reduces and interrupts the surface of the edge in contact with the snow as the board turns. This increases edge pressure by distributing your weight / energy to the areas you need it to - from the binding outward and through the center of the board where the carving arc takes place. This 3 key zone sidecut segmentation focuses your body weight on the areas that initiate, hold and release curves. The tip-to-tail Poplar core achieves a predictable balance of durability, consistent flexibility, and light weight. The extruded base is softer than the other bases, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. At the speeds that many of us drive, this material is actually faster (advances at speeds faster) than sintered when properly waxed. It also holds the wax better because it is more porous and is easy to repair with a P-Tex stick in case of scratches.
