Ocean Earth

Ocean & Earth was founded by Brian Cregan and Graham Williams's, and then taken over by Brian Cregan and associates in 1978. Beginning to manufacture a couple of basic wave surfing products. Ocean & Earth has grown slowly establishing a dealer network throughout NSW and Southern Qld (Australia). The staff's knowledge of surfing helped with product development, but many other areas of business were developed through trial and error.

Domestic distribution covered most of the major surfing areas in the early 1980s and some small export sales were achieved through word of mouth contacts made by Brian Cregan on his travels around the world. The first production was carried out in an old four-room house and in the facade of a converted shop. This soon became inadequate and in 1986 a 500m2 factory was built which greatly improved efficiency for the business growing at a rate of 30-40% annually. The initial direct distribution from Sussex Inlet was replaced by a distributor in each state and sales support throughout NSW was carried out by a permanent sales employee operating from the Sussex Inlet factory. By the mid to late 1980s the Ocean & Earth product range had grown significantly to include a wide range of surf accessories, backpacks and a small range of clothing that is still the backbone of the company today. Ocean earth has a very large catalog of surf products such as bags, leashes, clothing and all kinds of essential accessories for the board.
