In 1985 Wahoo International (manufacturers of Solarez®, LifeSled® and Bullyboard®) began manufacturing composite surfboards and bodyboards. Using "unconventional" materials and methods such as UV curing resins, composite structures and vacuum packaging techniques. Finding that UV curing was a cleaner technology and was ideal for field repair and that it was better for manufacturing, the environment and the economy. Since the 1980s, Solarez has diversified into over 20 formulas, radically improving (and cleaning) the production of sports composites, furniture, musical instruments, fly fishing, jewelry, hobbies and crafts, and paving the way for exciting new technologies such as 3D printing. Solarez products have excelled in sales around the world and this is clearly a function of quality.
