Satori

Satori was founded in 1998 with the intention of bringing a positive and sustainable perspective to skateboarding. The word "Satori" comes from Japanese Buddhism and means "pure awareness", "instant enlightenment", a state of consciousness. Satori describes that magical moment in skateboarding when you suck your tail to do a trick and in that moment, from senseless action to sliding away, that's Satori's state of bliss. Nothing is better than sliding away after completing a trick! You have to let go of all thoughts and do your trick! This is the Satori Movement. For decades, Satori has pioneered bringing more sustainability to skateboarding and lifestyle culture. Satori was the first ever wheel company to find a way to recycle used wheels as urethane cannot be simply melted like other plastics. It took years of concentration and innovation to develop the "Relife" recycled wheel program to prevent urethane from going to landfill. Relife wheels are made with over 60% post-consumer recycled urethane; truly amazing wheels with unique look and quality, smooth ride. Satori also incorporates vegetable oil in some formulas to compensate for the use of petroleum oil in urethane, as well as other innovative and sustainable approaches to manufacturing its products.
