Stereo was founded in 1992 when longtime friends Jason Lee and Chris Pastras decided the skateboarding world lacked what drove it creatively. The brand has revolutionized the world of skateboarding with timeless, classic and totally original inspirations. "Together, Jason and Chris have made two films about skateboarding: A Visual Sound ('94) and Tincan Folklore ('96). Using 8mm film, black and white photography and avant-garde music, the two films are now revered as classics within the skateboarding community. Likewise, the aesthetics of the "retro-modern" design that Stereo brought to skate graphics in '92, was a long way from the cartoon design, full of blood and guts that the skateboarding scene was used to. Now with over 2 decades of heritage, Stereo continues to be a skateboarding brand To this day, every project and product produced by Stereo remains ... timeless, classic and original.
